Empowering Access to the Nation’s Premier Tournament

The Florida Blue Key Speech & Debate Tournament is the largest forensics competition in the Southeast and one of the largest in the country. Our mission is to ensure that no student is denied the opportunity to compete due to financial barriers. Through our scholarship program, we aim to make our nationally recognized tournament accessible to all students, regardless of economic background.

Scholarship Details

  • Scholarships will be available to partially or fully cover tournament fees.

  • Applicants will be asked to provide brief information about their financial need and their experience in speech and debate.

  • The scholarship application process will open on Sept 12, 2025 and more information will be shared on this page.

  • We are accepting scholarship applications on a rolling basis up until October 17. Please apply as soon as possible!

We believe cost should never be a barrier to participation. Our scholarship fund is designed to support students who demonstrate both financial need and a passion for forensics.

Sponsorship Levels

All donations are tax-deductible and backed by Florida Blue Key. Donors are invited to attend the tournament and may receive exclusive benefits based on their giving level:

  • Bronze ($500+) – Recognition on our website

  • Silver ($1,000+) – Website listing + gift basket

  • Gold ($2,500+) – All above + banquet invitation and Gator Growl ticket

  • Platinum ($5,000+) – All above + awards ceremony recognition, naming rights to a final event, and additional perks

Speech and debate develop critical thinking, public speaking, and civic engagement—skills that benefit students for a lifetime. Yet, for many, tournament costs can be a limiting factor. Your donation helps us eliminate those barriers by providing full or partial fee coverage for deserving participants.
